When should I seek an infertility investigation?
Evaluation is recommended after 12 months of unsuccessful attempts (or 6 months if the woman is over 35).
What exams are part of the initial investigation?
They generally include hormonal evaluation, ultrasound, ovarian reserve assessment and, for the partner, a semen analysis. The plan is always individualized.
Is infertility always a female issue?
No. About half of cases involve male factors, which is why investigating the couple as a whole is essential.
